    Nice first post! Not much to critique since you are off to an excellent start. You’ll start tweaking your style and getting more comfortable soon I’m sure. A little (and I mean little) more emotion in your facial expressions and voice tone and you’ll be set. Some background music during the FTB and graphic swipes would help too, but not necessary at all.

    You provided some great info, it was the perfect length, and you have follow-up links in the post as well. Also good job on the editing. Seriously man, you’re off to a great start.

    @Oza - Thanks for the kind words. I was pretty happy with the sound as well. I’m not sure if I’m going to shoot the rest of them in the same location, but for a first post, it’ll do. I had only a table-top tri-pod, so I was a bit limited on my location selection.

    @Jason - I appreciate the feedback. Ya know, on my first “test run” through, I just talked and talked. No stopping. It came out pretty good and had it not been for one big flub, I would have just used it and been done. But I ended up having to re-shoot it and that turned in to a few dozen takes… As for music, it’s coming. I have a musician in the family who is working on a couple intro pieces for me.

    With the editing you can do two things:
    1. Add a transition between the segments. Nothing cheezy like barn doors, blinds, mostly anything standard :)
    2. Add a screen shot of what you are talking about just to add some visual interest.

    Fades are good but don’t do them more than 10 frames or they get long and boring. Your pace is good and the length is good so don’t add anything that will slow it down (ex: slow fades, transitions longer than 10-15 frames, or slow music).

    I’ve got tons of video backgrounds, templates, wipes, and overlays if you are interested. They are easy to use. Just drop and play!
