Rollerscape - Roller Coaster Construction Set

OK, this is my next MUST OWN toy! When I was a kid, I had a set like this where you could build an elaborate roller coaster system that would let a large marble roll around the track at break-neck speed, hugging the turns and, if you were lucky, making it safely to the bottom where an automatic shuttle would take the ball back to the top and let the madness start all over again. I have been looking for a replacement for that great time-waster for the past 10 years. And now that I’ve found it, my only decision is how many sets to order… I want to build a Big ‘Ol track!

Tivo, how I’ve missed thee!

A couple months back my Tivo died. I tried a bunch of things to get it working again. Spent time with the customer service guys on the phone but was never able to get it back up and running. Shortly after Tivo died, we had our floors done so things kinda got put on hold. Before ya know it, a few months have gone buy and I still don’t have Tivo.

While at work a week or so back, I received an email from Tivo offering their new Series 2, Dual Tuner Tivo box. The Tivo plus a year of service and free shipping for $271 (after tax) was just too good a deal to pass up. The box arrived yesterday and I got it all set up last night but didn’t really get a chance to get it all set up with my season passes and such until tonight. I’m now set up to record all new episodes of 24, High Stakes Poker, World Poker Tour and a new show that I’m going to try and pick up (I’m a little slow), My Name is Earl. Probably the best part about the new Tivo is the fact that you can be recording one show while watching a different show. Before, I had to leave the Tivo on the channel that was being recorded. Quite annoying some times. With the new tuner, another great feature is being able to record 2 shows at once. Now I’ll be able to record poker while the daughter records cartoons… This is better than before when she would cancel my recordings to set up her own. :/

Tivo, it’s so nice to have you back. After having Tivo for 3 years, it hurt like hell to go a couple months without it…
